From July 4-19, Haverkampf Leistenschneider will host Los Angeles based Philip Martin Gallery in their Berlin space in Charlottenburg.
In a collaboration between the galleries, Philip Martin Gallery has been invited to present its program in two simultaneous exhibitions: the first features new wall-mounted sculptures by Berlin-based artist Katy Cowan; the second is a group presentation of new, rare and never-before-seen works by Kwame Brathwaite, Carl Cheng, Tomory Dodge, Sky Glabush, John Joseph Mitchell, Laurie Nye, Sophie Treppendahl, and Sung Jik Yang.
Berlin audiences first saw Sophie Treppendahl’s work at Haverkampf Leistenschneider in the exhibitions, “My World Play” (2023) and “A Closer Look” (2025). Sky Glabush and Laurie Nye’s respective works were recently featured in “BodyLand” (2022) curated by Lauren Taschen at Max Hetzler Galerie. Kwame Brathwaite and John Joseph Mitchell’s respective works have not previously been seen in the city.
In 2026, Haverkampf Leistenschneider will be hosted by Philip Martin Gallery in Los Angeles in return. Stay tuned!
Opening: Friday, July 4 from 6-8pm
