We are delighted to welcome Berlin based artist Alex Müller to the gallery’s program.
Alex Müller‘s works always have something unspoken that invites us to think further, and represent the perpetual search for the self as well as a multi-layered examination of transience. A central aspect of her work is her preoccupation with the complex phenomenon of time. Time and again, the artist finds impressive visual equivalents for it – for its progression as well as for its relativity. Numerous everyday objects are given a specific charge in Alex Müller’s work. Any material in her oeuvre can become artistic material. The artist reinforces the narrative openness of her works by cleverly playing with the boundaries between painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, film, sound and performance.
Alex Müller (b. 1969) lives and works in Berlin. Her works are part of collections, such as Julia Stoschek Collection, Leopold Hoesch Museum or Collection Grässlin and have been presented in museum shows at Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, Kunstmuseum Stuttgart or just recently at Kunsthalle Nürnberg.
